During the International Triple Helix Summit organized in Dubai, November 10-13, the Joint International Research Unit (JIRU) established by the CNR in partnership with the Laval University, in Canada, was awarded as the best case study of the triple helix model in which research, industrial world and institutions work together to enhance and apply competitive research.
The Joint International Research Unit (JIRU) is a mixed research unit specifically dedicated to chemical and biomolecular research on the microbiome and its effects on metabolic health and nutrition, launched in 2016 with the aim of developing joint studies and projects in the emerging sector of molecular studies on the microbiome: a concrete example of synergy aimed at transferring knowledge and innovation to improve the quality of life.
